Join The Chorus
Track #10 on the CD Join The Chorus
This is the title song of the CD, and is subtitled 'Song For Tommy'. I was in the process of writing this
song the week I received word of Tommy's fatal accident.
You can see how that news effected this song by reading the final verse of the song, which speaks of the saints who have
gone before us, having joined that eternal chorus of 'Worthy Is The Lamb'.
Join The Chorus
On every rocky coast and every shore
Listen to the voices shout His praise
Hear the wind and crashing breakers roar
And whispers of the calming breeze
Deer and birds and fish of every sea
Skies above and lands below reveal
The glory of the mighty King above
And all Your works declare your matchless Glory! Glory! Glory!
Forever let us join the chorus Glory! Glory! Glory to our God!
Unworthy and unrighteous before You
Deserving nothing good from Your hand
Unworthy even to adore You
Lost, alone, and hopelessly ashamed
Woe to me, for I am unclean
Woe to me, for I have seen the King
But all around me echo His praises
The cherubim and seraphim cry Holy! Holy! Holy!
Forever let us join the chorus Holy! Holy! Holy is our God!
And when someday this mortal life is o'er
I'll stand before my Savior and King
I'll sing with all the saints who've gone before
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
The elders and the angels sing out Worthy! Worthy! Worthy!
Forever let us join the chorus Worthy! Worthy! Worthy is the Lamb!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!

The Only Thing
Ecclesiastes tells us it is better to go to a funeral than a party, because we all end up dead, and those who come to grips with this reality are better prepared for life.
